British Invasion

British, British everywhere!
USA has been invaded by British! Last week end the famous english maison  Burberry brought a touch of London in Los Angeles. They presented their collection in America with the fashion show "London in LA".
At the show a lot of british celebrities showed up like Elton John and his inseparable husband David Furnish, the Beckham family and also the funny James Corden, who's having such a huge success in USA!
He was also chose as testimonial for this event and he was amazingly funny as always.

Burberry was able to bring all the UK spirit with them and make all so classy and british, starting with the army of the Queen's guards to the typical and traditional iron gate from Buckingham Palace.

The models walked through the catwalk supervised by the Queen Guards' band.

The other british "royal" family in in the front row: the Beckhams! All the complete family was there, little Harper included with her cute trench-dress. Victoria and David were joined by Vogue queen Anna Wintour.

The supermodel Cara Delevingne rocked this stunning dress, so chic and simple at the same time.

Jamie King wore a special Burberry dress in green sheer dress showing her growing baby bump.

The gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, with her new short haircut was amazing in her mini multicoloured Burberry's dress and Mirabell suede sandals.

But, one of my favourite outfit was Rose Byrne, with her black sheer and lace dress with a golden belt. I really loved that dress!

Here we come with his amazing catwalk! He's so funny!
I remember I first saw him in the film "Begin Again" with Keira Knightly, Adam Levine and Mark Ruffalo, where he played a talented british busker in America.
Then I recently saw him in "Into the Woods" and in his Late, Late Show and in a lot of english programs.
He run the catwalked accompanied by the stunning supermodels and Burberry loving Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn.

Let's take a look to the details! Who would die for a personalized mononogrammed Burberry's scarf?! I gradly would!
Burberry decided to give to the all front row's guests a monogrammed scarf! So lucky!

And as always, how handsome is becoming Brooklyn Beckham??

At the event also George Ezra performed during the show.

Omg, I wish I was invited so such a cool event too! It must have been so fashion and elegant.
In my opinion Burberry is always able to modernise itself everytime and most of all is able to keep it update and organise this king of event! Burberry is so famous arounf the world but it is confirming also out of its native land its importance on the fashion scenario.

Take me to Coachella!

Last week end it took place the biggest music festival of the year, the Coachella  Valley Music and Arts Festival! (aka Coachella)

In the last few years Coachella festival became famous not just because it took place in the middle of the Colorado desert but also because tons of celebrities and wannabes show up wearing amazing outfits.
Every single year I hope that one day I will be able to go there, not just for the crazy people but also for the amazing music! I really love the many genres that the festival is hosting, from rock, indie, hip hop to electronic dance music! It should be a wonderful event!
This year there were such good artists such as Drake, Madonna, Kasabian, Florence + The Machine, Kaskade, Marina and the Diamonds,Duke Dumont, David Guetta or the evergreen AC/DC.

Speaking of witch, should we talk about Drake's  performance?? Yes, we should! At surprise he was joined by Madonna, who, at the end, gave with a wild make out session! But the greatest part was Drake's reaction!! I seemed so disgusted! His reaction is hilarious!

But let's pass to the ever-present Jenner sisters. Lately, like their older sisters, everything they wear become a trend right away!

I have to admit that I don't really like Kendall's outfit but I love her Dylnalex Hendrix necklace! This time Kylie
hit the centre with her total white outift! But I am not so convinced about her light blue hair.. nah
Unfortunatelly her hair look too much like a wig, they don't look natural.

Kendall Jenner regained points with her other outfit, wearing a white crop top and a beautiful long black skirt with two deep thight-high rips.

Speaking of blue hair, Hilary Duff rocked her blue ones with a classic "Coachella outfit". She wore a see-through blouse with shorts and boots. The next day she chose a simple tshirt with short, boots and a glamorous hat.

Rihanna, instead, chose a colorful outfit and decided to be provocative as always wearing a beaded necklace as a top! Genius!

As you may have read, for this kind of event I really appreciate the total white or light colors outfits.
The Victoria's secret angel Alessandra Ambrosio wore a cute boho short dress and in the evening she chose a long version of it.

Btw, is it normal hanging with your super gorgeous friends at a festival and look like you're coming from a photoshoot??? Omg, they seem all supermodels!

One of my favourite outfits were Kate Bosworth with her little white dress and the cutest embroidered Etro Crochet sleeve embellished jacket, and then her white shirt and skirt. Simple but beautiful!

Other total white outfits that I liked where Gigi Hadid, who channeled her gyspy mood and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with her white lacy white dress, sexy and adorable.

I must admit that I was really surprised by the outfits of Paris and Nicky Hilton! I loved their outfits!
Paris chose a lacy bra with a total white longette skirt and Nicky wore a cut out mini dress. The little kitty ears headband is so cute, Paris!
Good choices Hiltons!

Should we talk a second about how handsome is becoming the "little" Brooklyn Beckham?? I mean, if I was a 16-year-old teenager, he will be my celebrity crush right away! A perfect mix between the elegance of his posh spice mother and the hotness of his father!

When your World is fallen Apart

Today I want to share something really personal about me.
All it came yesterday when I read a bad news about a celebrity.
Taylor Swift told to her fans that her mother has been diagnosed cancer.
I like her, lately I like some of her songs, I like most of her style, she's nice and I share her taste in british men! (ahah) But I can't say I'm one of her biggest fan. I don't know why but I really felt empathy with her.

Maybe because I perfectly know what she's feeling right now.
You should know that my mom works abroad and I can see her just 2 or 3 times a year due to my studies and her work. Last May, she got a very bad flu, but she couldn't recover from it and she didn't know why. She decided to come back home to be cured and at the hospital they said it was just a bad flu. Two days after she went back to the hospital because she couldn't breathe and they finally found something.
I can remember the exact moment when my dad called me and said that my mum was diagnosed with leukemia, and not a easy one. I was in another city for study, I threw something in my suitcase and took the train to come back home. It was the worst and longest journey of my life.
I still remember it was the 23rd of May, 4 days before my birthday and my life stopped. You can't imagine how I felt when I saw my mother laying in that bed.
I had the misfortune to handle this situation with insensitive doctors, they called me and my dad to tell us she had this serious form of leukemia and also a kidney failure, and she was dying.
My entire world stopped and fallen. My mom, my life, my reason of living was dying in front of me. I am really close to my mom and the thought of losing her for me was more than devastating.
It was strange but the first thing that came to my mind was "my mom will be not able to see my children", and it's not something you think when you're just 22.
That night I think I could die with her because my heart was bursting with pain.
Luckily we moved her to another better hospital and she began chemotherapy. I remember when my dad asked me to tell mom that she had leukemia, I don't even know how I was able to do it.
Thank God she recover a little and she's walking through this difficult travel, chemotheray, transplant, side effects. Believe me I didn't know she would fight like this. I think she's the strongest person I know.
Reading about Taylor Swift's mom make me think that she made a really remarkable gesture saying all to her fans. When someone has cancer, it's almost a natural reaction to hide the illness but there's nothing wrong share your feelings with people you care.

Taylor wrote this yesterday:

"Just so you know…
Hey guys,
I’m writing to you with an update I wish I wasn’t giving you, but it’s important and I’m used to sharing important events in my life with you. Usually when things happen to me, I process them and then write music about how I feel, and you hear it much later. This is something my family and I thought you should know about now.
For Christmas this year, I asked my mom that one of her gifts to me be her going to the doctor to get screened for any health issues, just to ease some worries of mine. She agreed, and went in to get checked. There were no red flags and she felt perfectly fine, but she did it just to get me and my brother off her case about it.
The results came in, and I’m saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer. I’d like to keep the details of her condition and treatment plans private, but she wanted you to know.
She wanted you to know because your parents may be too busy juggling everything they’ve got going on to go to the doctor, and maybe you reminding them to go get checked for cancer could possibly lead to an early diagnosis and an easier battle… Or peace of mind in knowing that they’re healthy and there’s nothing to worry about. She wanted you to know why she may not be at as many shows this tour. She’s got an important battle to fight.
Thank you for caring about my family so much that she would want me to share this information with you.
I hope and pray that you never get news like this.
Love you.

Taylor "

I really appreciated the fact that she felt she had to share it with her fans.
I hope everything is coming back normal and good for her and for all the people that are facing and handling such a horrible situation like this.

Be brave, strong and never give up!

Life of a Fan Girl

All of us, in our life had a crush or have been a fan! It's almost a mandatory experience that everyone should pass.
Even my mum, in the 80's was madly in love with George Michael, she had also a maxi poster of him on the door of her room when she was a teenager.

As you all may have read in my previous posts, I'm kind a fan girl, and believe me it is a hard life!
When I was little and I saw girls go crazy for certain singer or actor, I always thought that I would never become one of them and I would have ever do crazy things for famous "strangers".
Growing up, instead I really connected with the feeling of those "crazy" girls, in fact few years ago I was (and I currently am) a massive fan of the tv series Gossip Girl. I remember that here in Italy, they broadcasted the episodes late at night during the week and I had school; so I put the alarm and I woke up just to see the new episode.

I really love the story, the characters, the location, the fashion trends and also the music (my IPod is still full of the soundtracks)! I was so deeply enthusiast about that tv show!

But I was really into one precise character: the ambiguous Chuck Bass played by Ed Westwick;

and I don't know what happened but I was immediately "in love" with him. So enigmatic, so complicated but also so romantic and caring.

Who wouldn't love a conflicted and hostile character? I would! ahah
I was so obsessed with Chuck Bass and Ed Westwick (he's the cause of my love for british men) that when I found out that he was coming to Italy to shoot the new version of Romeo and Juliet I was literally freaking out! Too much to handle!

I mean, what were the chances I could get to meet him? Well, ZERO!
I got in contant with some other girls via some blogs and we agreed to meet in Mantova where the film crew were taking the first scenes. Mantova is just 45 minutes far by train from my city, Verona and I thought it would be a good idea try to go there. Me and other girls "stalked" the hotel and the location but there was no sign of him! It seemed that everyone in the city had the chance to meet him except me! I was so sad because I passed two days there but nothing! I was a desperate 19-year-old girl!
When I read on some blogs that Ed was back in New York to shoot Gossip Girl I was so disappointed.
A couple of weeks later I was contacted by some other girls that luckily got the chance to meet him and they told me that he was coming back to Verona for some other shooting! Ed, in Verona, my city.. I was so happy!

Thanks to those lovely girls that then became friends I was able to finally met him!

(please don't look at me, I was so tired and omg my brows were terrible!)

I couldn't believe it! We saw him shooting some scenes as Tybalt and then, when he was leaving for his hotel we asked him a picture and he said yes! even if the bodyguards didn't want to!

He was nice and I was cloud nine! I still remember his arm around me! (omg I sound so crazy right now).
The next days we decided to visit the other locations and we met him again, even his mum and dad wanted to meet us. They were the sweetest! His mum wanted to take a picture with us because we were the only quiet fans, but Ed became soon protective towards his parents and it was totally comprehensible.
I didn't know how but the other girls managed to be invited to the wrap party and they nicely asked me to go with them.
It was such fun! We met Ed and his parents again but also Douglas Booth, who's a sweetheart and also Hailee Steinfeld, she was so young I wanted to hug her!
Who knew I will ever do something crazy like this in my life?!
But you know what? After meeting him (I know it's impossible and unreal) buut it was like I know him, like a friend! When I rewatch Gossip Girl I think "Hey! It's Ed!" and it's such a crazy thing. ahah
