What Kind of Man

It's time to share our time with men. It's their time!
Between the London Collection Men and the Milan Fashion Week the most innovative and classic designers proposed the new looks for the spring and summer 2017.

Let's start from London!
London Collection Men proposed various looks from eclectic to the most classic and original.

DSquared2 proposed a young british inspired fashion looks made of skinny ripped and stained blue jeans with fitting shirt with short sleeves and braces (aka suspenders), alternating with taylored trousers, jeans jackets and hats. The final touch? Kinky boots!! Ankle or high knee boots with wedge heels but most of all.. sparkly ones! It's a fun idea to apply in men fashion.

Philipp Plein opted for a more sporty collection. His line is characterized by a glamour basketball player wearing leather or embroidered shorts with blazer jackets and bright sweatshirts. The main colours of the collection is black, as always, and unusual gold and bright orange.

Salvatore Ferragamo remained quite classic in the taylored suits modernising with materials and fabrics. The main coloura are white, navy blue, grey and green and the recurring pattern of the collection are horizontal stripes, just for shirt or for a complete suit.

Emporio Armani opted for dark colours with a touch of bright colour. The collection is characterized by navy blue and black suits, coats and jackets with modern and new accessories like backpacks and handbags, mirrorred sunglasses, hats, bombers and thin scarves. The collection passes from line, silk to shimmering and translucent materials and fabrics in order to rekindle a classic stamp.

Coach decided to propose a rock and punk collection: a lot of leather, both jackets and trousers, floral shirts in contrast with taylored trousers and handbags with roses prints on them.
This collection is a mix between the hard rock punk and the elegance of roses print on both accessories and clothes. To me.. approved!

Joshua Kane, for me, is a classic. Super classic, so classic that some times is too much and become outlandish.. but I love it! The accurancy in the making of each suits which is unique in every details, the skinny taylored trousers, the colourful ties, the double-breasted jackets and the underneath waistcoats, the particular fabrics and patterns choices. I love this collection because it's marked by the care of details, which nowadays is fundamental to stand out from the others.

Now let's pass from London to Milan! Back to Italy!
Versace chose an eclectic collection made of elegant and super fancy suits in contrast with super sporty clothes.
Thermic leggins under silk shorts and shirt and of course a practical dust coat for face the rain during a run. This is the type of sport man in Versace's eyes.
This view, in contrast, with taylored tight suits with elaborated shirt, or the "pyjama suits" with nothing underneath.
This contrast between sporty and posh is becoming a must for S/S 2017.. and I like it|

Dolce&Gabbana, instead, bet on prints! Animalier prints and embroidery for everything, from sweatshirts to blazers, from bombers to smokings.
Everything is eclectic but in a Dolce & Gabbana way, which is super cool! The must have accessories for the collection are headphones and 80's styled sunglasses.

Stefano Dolce and Domenico Gabbana chose for their collection some unusual representatives as models: Presley Gerber, son of the supermodel for eccelence Cindy Crawford, and Rafferty Law, son of Jude Law. Yeah.. there's some potential.

Gucci continued on its main inspiration for its past collection: 70's and it's the right path to follow! Alessandro Michele uses 70's shapes and patterns mixing them together with other styles and ages. The collection passes from a college boy, to a man at a gala to a regular 70's guy walking on the street. The man designed by Michele is a modern 70's man who is not afraid od experimenting with colours, unusual patters, but especially with bows!

Giorgio Armani chose a casual man for his collection. He chose a man who dresses casual but he can easily be very elegant and professional for the office. Soft fabrics like wool and linen are a must for this collection.
This man can wear a warm sweater and a pair of trousers but he can change into a businessman adding a blazer or a coat with his inseparable handbag and sunglasses. I like this collection because is very relaxed but without losing its elegance.
